Netflix Comedy Special, Hannibal Buress: Comedy Camisado

Netflix, Netflix, Netflix. The streaming service had been going strong as of late, especially in the Comedy genre. With Chelsea Does having been out for only a couple of weeks and already being flooded with loads of praise, and the Netflix vault housing tons of comedic classics (a personal favorite, Talladega Nights, was added just days ago here in the U.S.). Netflix has been handling their production of the inherently subjective genre with finesse, definitely recognizing the importance of streaming something for everyone. Their most recent stand-up special, Hannibal Buress: Comedy Camisado, hit the web on February 5th, and it’s definitely worth the watch.

Comedian, Actor, and Kamikaze Gambler.

Hannibal Buress has been in the comedy scene for years now, writing, acting, hosting, and producing.  He wrote for SNL, starred on 30 Rock, Louie, and Broad City, is currently co-hosting The Eric Andre Show, as well as hosting his own show Why? on Comedy Central. He’s performed stand-up on a handful of talk shows, from Letterman to Conan, and has filmed multiple Comedy Central specials. Actually, two of his other specials, Hannibal Buress: Animal Furnace and Hannibal Buress: Live from Chicago, are also available for streaming on Netflix.

Whether you’ve never heard of Hannibal or are a longtime fan, his new Netflix special is absolutely worth the hour. He picks up right away with self-deprecating jabs, highlights of the world’s overall ridiculousness, and his continual pursuit to make life all the more awesome. He rants about traveling, children, sports, drugs, and even a more practical version of Russian Roulette. Without wasting anymore of your time when you could be watching the special yourself, let me me give you five quick reasons as to why Hannibal’s new special is one of the best new comedy releases Netflix.

1. His stance on Zipper politics will change your views on life.

2. He’s got the secret to success in the Toilet Paper business.

3. The only difference between him and Kevin Hart is a printer.

Overall: 8/10
